Should You Start a Blog in 2021?

Now, this is a very interesting question to be asked to yourself. Do you think you should start a blog? 

You need not start a blog because you are seeing other people are starting it and making money with it.

There is a saying Never do a job for money. And especially never start a blog by having a motto in your mind that you are going to make money.

I do not think everyone should have a blog. 

I know the above statement might sound a little bit odd to many people but that is the reality. Writing a blog and blog posts is a very spiritual thing to me.

I believe that if you are writing with your heart and soul then the article comes out to be a very composite reading piece of content. 

What you write shows your personality. And if you are just creating a blog for the means of making money and hiring people to write articles for you from freelancing platforms.

Yes, you can definitely do it and make some money as well. But I would strongly resist it. 

If you do this then you are not enjoying the journey of blogging. The journey is more important than the destination. 

Great bloggers write a piece of content daily no matter how big their blog is or how big their business is.

Blogging is something that requires a lot of patience and hard work. Blogging is not only about writing content, you need little knowledge of the web platform you are using such as WordPress or Blogger.com, or any other platform.

Nowadays, the blog has become an essential part of businesses. Creating a blog and writing content around your product is a very creative way to generate more sales (This is generally called content marketing).

Of course, you can make money from the blog. But you need to consider this as an outcome of your work.

If you work really hard in creating a good blog that adds value to your targeted audience then you will definitely make money.

Money is required to live a good life but money should not be the only reason to start a blog. 

The major advantage of blogging is that you will develop a good habit of writing.

If you can convince people through your writing then you are among very few people out there who have the patience of growing things big.

Writing is a skill and it is very difficult to reach the pro level unless you practice.

Important Questions to Answer to Yourself

Before thinking of starting a blog, I would suggest you take a pen and paper or you can open a notepad on your laptop or mobile device and answer the questions given below:

Q1. Do you Like Writing and Why?

Q2. How are your communication skills?

Q3. What message do you want to share with your blogging career?

Q4. Can you do things on your own? Or you need a push?

Q5. Are you disciplined?

Q6. Do you have time at least a few hours a day?

Q7. Do you believe in having patience?

Q8. Are you willing to learn new skills?

Q9. Are you a quick learner?

Q10. Do you enjoy reading?

Q11. Are you a social person?

Q12. Are you an organized person?

Q13. Are you a creative person?

Q14. Are you honest & transparent?

Q15. Are you a hard-workingperson?

Answer all the question, it should not be a yes/no type of answer. I would like you to write in detail about what you understand about yourself.

Once you answer all the questions you should be able to understand that blogging is not so simple as it looks.

You may be asking me, why should we answer all the questions? This list of questions will give you a glimpse of the hard work which will go into blogging.
